Korean Night

Since I came here, I've met many people from different countries besides Americans. Especially I'm so curious about other Asian cultures, thus having friends like Korean, Taiwanese, Thais, and Chinese is something more than happy to me. On Saturday night, my Korean friend Scott took me to a Korean restaurant in city. I never had Korean friends before, so he is like my first Korean friend. He is a very friendly and so cracking guy though:-)
Well, Everything I had at the restaurant was so nice. Since my family love Korean food(especially my mom?),I used to dine out at Korean restaurants even when I was in Kobe. So I was kind of missing them since I came here. So I was really happy to see those familiar food. Plus, they all came in a large volume; American size. While I was enjoying the meals, I was listening to Scott and the restaurant's owner talk in Korean. Since some Korean words are exactly the same as Japanese, I could pick some words and guess what they're talking about. But I did wish that I could speak the language...!! It would be so cool if I could. I think I want to learn Korean.　ok, this is my resolution: I will master Korean and Spanish (which used to be my minor) in 10 years!

Since it was really pretty outside, I walked around the campus after school today. I wish I could bring him over here..I'm sure he would love to run aroud the ground ! Miss U,Leo :-(

Sunday Evening Drive

Finally I'm done with my English homework which is due today ...!! It took all my weekend and yesterday to finish them up. 10 essays.. insane. So, unfortunately I do not have any exciting tales about my weekend this week either..sorry! Maybe next week (yes, halloween is coming up ,too!) . But on Sunday , Jen took me to Taco bell for dinner. If you've been to US, you probably know what it is. It's just a Mexican fast food chain everywhere in the states. Since we wanted to have something differnt not school food, we drove down to Taco Bell that night. Actually, Jen wanted to go( she LOVES taco). Because it was my first Tacl Bell, she got them for me. Thank you:-)
After we got home, I started woking on my homework again. I called up my friends to see how they were going with the essays. They were also struggling , which eased me a little..!

Britniey♪

Let me introduce my Britniey today! Actually you 've seen her a couple of times as I've shown her pictures here before. We have no same classes , we live on the different floor, but we always hang out.We just happend to get to know each other at a bus stop. who could think of being such close friends like we are now then? I believe it was meant to be. Anyway, she is a really funny, cute, and also considerate girl. She has her opinions on every subject, which I think I have to. well, we have many things in common though. we're both interested in same kind of school subjects ( like marketing, public relation, etc), love a movie called "the note book", and ..love ice cream:-) but this is just a few of them.
I picked this color (orange) to type today's blog cuz it's her favorite color. But her stuff are pretty much green since her boy friend loves the color(They are a cute coupl ) oh, and Her birthday is this Sunday!! It's a bit early, but happy birthday, Brit!!!!!!

Jen is back★

My Room mate Jen went back home last weekend. She came back on Sunday midnight,but it seemed so long to me. I missed you, Jen! She came back with another new clothes and shoes..I knew that she would!!
It has been a month since I came here. My life here has been really good so far:-) I've met many nice friends and teachers.Studies are so hard, but I'll keep going!! Here is a quote my English teacher gave me:
"The academy is not paradise. but learning is a place where paradise can be created."

A Favorite Moment In a Day

My favorite moment in a day may be dinner time. Yes, I am hungry. But there is actually another reason for this. Basically I follow 3 meals as I was brought up in that way though many americans do not . But since my class starts at 8 or 9 am and I am done with all my classes at 1pm, usually I have my breakfast and lunch in my own room. However, when it is time for dinner, I always eat with my close friends at school's dining place. Yes, this is why I like dinner time. Hanging out with my friends, I can be free from any stresses and worries :-)
When I first came here, I could hardly eat anything as I was feeling so nervous. It was something I had never experienced. But now I am fine. I even miss such little appetite I had then!

A fall flavor

Brand-new week started again. How was your weekend, guys? My weekend was all right. On friday after school, Jen and I went to the malls for shopping. We went there by her drive so it was much quicker than taking bus. Well, we did not buy much stuff but still enjoyed each other's company. Girls' talk never ended.
On saturday and Sunday, I stayed home studying. They had a pretty big party down town in Cheney, and I was gonna go too with Jen.But I decided not to as I had some assignments to get done with. This was my weekend.
Today I noticed that the trees changing their color on campus. My everday life has been so hectic that I wasn't aware of the changes.
I hope this week 's gonna be a good one too! Ciao!

The School Spirit

As all the other universities do in US, our university, Eastern Washington University has its school colors and mascot too. Our school color is "Red and White", and the mascot is "the Eagles". So if you go to a shop at Eastern, you'll see various kind of "Eagles"...like Clothes, stationery, accessories, mugs, and drinking water ! Yesterday, Jen and I went to get EWU sweat shirts at the school's shop. Everyone else has got at least one Eagles item already(mainly jackets), but we hadn't. So we decided to get one otherwise we look like we have no school spirit..! At the shop , there were just so many of them that it was really hard to pick one.But we ended up getting the same sweat shirts. Now we have the school spirit!!

Jennifer !!

Sorry, I know you guys have wanted to see my room mate...ok, here is my room mate, Jennifer!!! I call her Jen though. Well, we have so much in common that we've got along so well since the day we first met. We just talk a lot together and laugh , which sometimes makes me unable to focus on my study. She cracks me up, and I do, too! And we are both shoes addicts, and love clothes. Actually she does more than I do ..when you look at her closet, you'll see.It's just full. She even stocks more clothes under the bed in a big suits case. I've never see her wear the same clothes since I got here. Are you Paris Hilton, Jen? But, yeah, she dresses really cool. She has her style. But you know, she studies too.Actually she is pre-medical major( her mom is a doctor!). well. there are many more I wanna talk about her as she is such a nice girl, but I'll tell you another time. Oh, she loves hot dog so much...don't you ,Jen!!

Stephani from Full House!!!

Guess what?? I saw Stephani today!!..Which stephani..? Stephani from Full House!! She came to EWU(my university) to give us a talk this evening! It was so exciting especially to me cuz I used to watch Full House when I was little, and she was my favorite!! How cooool!! She talked about her life so far which is not easy, and after that we got a chance to take photos and ask for her autograps. she was so pretty when I saw her in person. She is now 24, but she still looked Stephani in Full House though! ...My sister would be so jealous because she is a huge fan of Full House!!

My room; Part 2

...Ok, Let's continue to find out what is in my room . This is my desk. Each room has been equipped with 2 desks in my dorm. Yes, I am updating this blog right there:-)
One thing that has troubled me is the window in the room. It is so hard to open that we have to ask boys next door for help. So we have left the window open recently even when we sleep...because we don't want to bother them anymore!

My room; Part 1

As I have been extremely busy, I haven't done anything much about the decorations in my room yet. But maybe, even in the future, I won't have much time to work on it anyway. So I show you a little of my dorm room today: -)
I did the drawing on the door. I will do something more because I believe doors describe the person living in the room
And here are our beds. I love PINK and my room mate Jen loves Green and blue!
And our fridge. I wish we had a freezer too so we can keep icecreams in it. Oh well, maybe we better not as I wouldn't be able to resist them if they were sitting in the freezer next to my desk..Haha!!

Weekend again

Hi, how are you guys? It's weekend again.But you know, I was staying in the library all day along because of the assignments which are all due on Monday. Sounds not interesting?No:-(
But I like the library on campus.It's just HUGE! Today, my friend Britniey came to find me in the library and joined my study group( only me).It was good cuz I was feeling a little lonely as everyone was out enjoying their weekend..! We weren't chilling out though, we studied and then left there for dinner. That was my Saturday, that's about it. I hope I can tell more interesting story next weekend...!
