In Love With Coffee
Since this Friday was Veteran's day in US, we had an extra day off in addition to Saturday and Sunday. Therefore, the Thursday night felt like Friday night. Everyone was out then and lots of parties were going on. I wasn't feeling like staying home either, so I went out for dinner in Sponake with my German friend Barbara.
She is an exchange student and majors in English back in Germany just like me! Since we see each other everyday in English class, we are really good friends. I never had a friend from Germany, so things she has told me about her home country are so intriguing.
We had Japanese cuisine that night ,and after dinner we went to Starbucks Coffee for a cup of coffee. Well, Barbara is totally addicted to coffee. She just LOVES it. Actually she said it was her second Starbucks that day . She told me she went to the coffee chain in Cheney ( that is where my university is) after school too. According to her, most of the money on her university meal card( we use it to purchase food in campus) has been used for coffee, not meals. well, our state Washington is a mecca of coffee as Seattle is the home for Starbucks , Seattle's Best, and so on...You picked the right place in US, Barbara!
